Historically THE "ISLANDS" in the bible refer to the British Isles. Very important, because why would the Apostles head straight there after the death of Christ? Because the British are the tribe of Ephraim (British which means covenant man) and this tribe was the head tribe of the LOST SHEEP OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL!
It was Jeroboam an Ephraimite who guided the 10 tribes into sun worship, into Baal, or Bal, or Bull worship. Are they called Johnny Bull? There is a reason. They were dedicated to their sun worship, and Jeroboam set up 2 calves, one in Bethel and one in Dan.

Why do you think he called them the LOST SHEEP? They were worshipping the sun! Part of sun worship involved the worship of fertility goddess Easter (Ishtar). This fertility goddess had fertility symbols of eggs and bunny rabbits. The pagan sun cross represented the intersection of the solstices (sun stop) and equinoxes. Easter is the spring equinox, and Christmas is the winter solstice, and both are part of 8 equally spaced holidays of the sun wheel. Including names we know as Halloween, Valentines day, May Day, etc... God's Holy Days have nothing to do with sun observations.
If you know of any people observing these holidays, then you probably know some lost Israelites! Baal is mentioned over 80 times in the bible, and it was for this pagan worship of Bal or Bull worship that the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel were taken captive in 722b.c.
Isaiah 59 Ok, so Christ sends his apostles to Britain, and now we see from Isaiah 59, that it is the WEST that will fear the name of the true God! It is western civilization (All of Europe, British Isles, America, Canada, Australia and South Africa(members of the many Common Wealth of Nations, etc...) and many other nations not listed that God is going to make His New Covenant with. Because they are the descendants of ancient tribes of Israel. Christ said that He came to "set the captives free." He is literally going to finally let these descendants of ancient Israel come back to Him and cease their sun worship. He will set them free from their long captivity. They will keep the Sabbath again, and not the day of the Sun, which was kept by all sun worshippers. They will worship the true God, the creator, who made the Sabbath at creation, as a sign of who the right God is, and Christ said he was Lord of the Sabbath.
Isaiah 59:19 This chapter ties the West to the new covenant! Both things are mentioned in the same verse! Verse 19:
"From the west, people will fear the name of the LORD........this is my covenant with them.
"THIS IS MY COVENANT"....the new covenant is the new covenant with the Lost House of Israel! It is about finally restoring the 10 lost tribes of Israel to God
It was an Ephraimite who led Israel away from God into sun (Baal) worship, and they have been ignorant of the true God for too long. Time to wake up! Time for restoration of the West. Time for the New Covenant. And it will start in the Islands, or British Isles... Let's look at the chapter of Isaiah 59.
God is ready to save Israel, but they are steeped in evil up to their eyeballs. He will deal first with the head of Israel, Britain, also called the Isles, Islands, Coasts in the Bible.
ISAIAH 59
1. Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. (God is ready to save them, but they are not ready.)
2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.
3 For your hands are stained with blood, your fingers with guilt. Your lips have spoken falsely, and your tongue mutters wicked things.
4 No one calls for justice; no one pleads a case with integrity. They rely on empty arguments, they utter lies; they conceive trouble and give birth to evil.
5 They hatch the eggs of vipers and spin a spider’s web. Whoever eats their eggs will die, and when one is broken, an adder is hatched.
6 Their cobwebs are useless for clothing; they cannot cover themselves with what they make. Their deeds are evil deeds, and acts of violence are in their hands.
7 Their feet rush into sin; they are swift to shed innocent blood. They pursue evil schemes; acts of violence mark their ways.
8 The way of peace they do not know; there is no justice in their paths. They have turned them into crooked roads; no one who walks along them will know peace.
9 So justice is far from us, and righteousness does not reach us. We look for light, but all is darkness; for brightness, but we walk in deep shadows. (The people desire justice, but everything is darkness and evil, deep shadows...)
10 Like the blind we grope along the wall, feeling our way like people without eyes.
At midday we stumble as if it were twilight; among the strong, we are like the dead.
11 We all growl like bears; we moan mournfully like doves. We look for justice, but find none; for deliverance, but it is far away.
12 For our offenses are many in your sight, and our sins testify against us. Our offenses are ever with us, and we acknowledge our iniquities:
13 rebellion and treachery against the LORD, turning our backs on our God, inciting revolt and oppression, uttering lies our hearts have conceived.
14 So justice is driven back, and righteousness stands at a distance; truth has stumbled in the streets, honesty cannot enter.
15 Truth is nowhere to be found, and whoever shuns evil becomes a prey. The LORD looked and was displeased that there was no justice.
16 He saw that there was no one, he was appalled that there was no one to intervene; so his own arm achieved salvation for him, and his own righteousness sustained him. (This is the state of the West, of the lost tribes, as Christ Himself begins to deal with them, they are deceptive, murderous, with no justice in the land, no honesty with no one to intervene or bring justice.)
17 He put on righteousness as his breastplate, and the helmet of salvation on his head; he put on the garments of vengeance and wrapped himself in zeal as in a cloak.
18 According to what they have done, so will he repay wrath to his enemies and retribution to his foes; he will repay the islands their due. (Comeuppance time...the Islands have become an enemy to God, and he will deal with them.)
19 From the west, people will fear the name of the LORD, and from the rising of the sun, they will revere his glory. For he will come like a pent-up flood that the breath of the LORD drives along. (He is going to come against them like a dam busting. He is going to kick their but and then He is going to save them, even though they don't deserve it.)
As for me, this is my covenant with them,” (His covenant is with the WEST....Western culture, Western civilization, they are the 10 lost tribes of Israel!) says the LORD. “My Spirit, who is on you, will not depart from you, and my words that I have put in your mouth will always be on your lips, on the lips of your children and on the lips of their descendants—from this time on and forever,” (Once Christ straitens out the West, they will be under covenant with Christ from that time forward) says the Lord.
20 “The Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who repent of their sins,” declares the LORD. (The ones who repent of their sins will have the New Covenant with God.)
GOD'S WAY IS BETTER!
Will you be willing to repent of your sins against God, and stop keeping pagan holidays like Easter, Halloween and Christmas? Make a new covenant with the true God, and start keeping the Sabbath, it starts Friday evening at sundown and ends Saturday evening at sundown. You don't do work on that day, it is a great day to enjoy, rest, eat good food, relax, talk with friends, go for a walk, take a nap, fun and easy!
I love the Sabbath, it the first festival of God's feasts in Leviticus 23. Start with the Sabbath and then begin to keep God's other Feast Days. We have a calendar here on the site. These holidays will be enforced when Christ comes back. In Zachariah 14, we see that the Feast of Tabernacles will be enforced, and those nations that refuse to keep it will receive no rain! Keep learning! The truth is wonderful! It is wonderful to learn about the true God of the Bible and what He requires of us.
