SATAN HAS DECEIVED THE WHOLE WORLD

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.  Revelation 12:9

We know that mankind chose Satan over God in the very beginning, in the Garden of Eden.  What we fail to realize is that modern man is still just as gullible as Adam and Eve.  How so? Well, we have been deceived by Satan, the father of lies. 

Jesus says, “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies” John 8:44.

Almost everything we even think we know has come to us via Satan's world system.  He certainly has deceived the whole world, and Satan is the father of the concept of fake news, not only about God and religion but about EVERYTHING.  Fake news may be a new term, but the concept is ancient.

HOW TO STAND...with the truth!

Ephesians 6: 10-17 is how you protect yourself!  Read this very important passage.

   Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

   Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

   For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

   Wherefore take unto you the whole amour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

   Stand therefore, having your loins girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

   And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

   Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

   And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 

Pay attention to the enlarged words, they are key to what you need to withstand evil.  Truth, righteousness, peace, faith and the word of God. Not only is the word of God the Holy scriptures, it is Christ Himself!  He is the Word from the book of John.  He is the spokesman for the family of God. If we have God's Spirit, He literally lives in us and He gently directs us.

This very important passage in Ephesians uses the word stand and withstand 3 times.  Even though Satan rules this world, we can withstand in the evil day.  We don't have to be deceived by him.  Number one, we shouldn't think we know everything, we don't, and we should ask God for His Holy Spirit, but only if we want the truth. 

The spirit of God is the mind of God.  Some truth will shock you, when God lets you in on some of the things that He know, and when you realize how badly we have been deceived, but God will shine the light in our blinded minds, open our eyes and comfort us with beautiful wonderful truth and protection from Satan.
