The Bible says Mary was the mother of Jesus, James, Joses, Juda, Simon and unnamed sisters. But it does not say that Joseph was the father of Christ. God was. Really, they were his half brothers and sisters.
CHRIST SPOKE IN PARABLES SO PEOPLE WOULD NOT UNDERSTAND
Contrary to popular opinion, Christ did not speak in parables to make things clear.
"And when
he was alone, they that were about him with the
twelve asked of him the parable.
And
he said unto them,
Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the
kingdom of God: but unto them that are without,
all these things are done in parables:
That seeing they may see, and not
perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not
understand; lest at any time they should be
converted, and their sins should be forgiven
them.
Mark
4:10-12
"And the
disciples came, and said unto him, why do You
speak unto them in parables?
He
answered and said unto them, Because it is
given unto you to know the mysteries of the
kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
For
whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he
shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath
not, from him shall be taken away even that he
hath.
Therefore
speak I to them in parables: because they seeing
see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do
they understand.
Matt
13:10-13
PICTURES OF JESUS BREAK THE SECOND COMMANDMENT
The Bible says that Christ had no form or comeliness (beauty) that we would desire him. (Isaiah 53) The pictures of Jesus generally portray an attractive thin man. In His own times, He was falsely accused of being a glutton and a winebibber. You wouldn't call a thin man a glutton. He may have been a little overweight. In any case, the point is that no one knows exactly what Christ looked like. To carry a picture of Jesus which is most likely just an image of some model in the middle ages is useless.
It is better to keep the commandment of not making a graven image (religious image). To make an image of Christ, whether it be a statue, carving, painting or a photograph---is to make a graven image of Him. The second commandment is "Thou shalt not make any graven images." For all anyone knows, all those pictures of Jesus may look more like the devil than like the real Christ.
CHRIST WILL BE KING OF THE EARTH AT HIS RETURN
CHRIST PROMISED HIS 12 DISCIPLES THAT EACH ONE WOULD RULE ONE OF THE TRIBES OF ISRAEL IN HIS KINGDOM!
Christ said, “I tell you the truth, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.” Matthew 19:28
Christ will come back and establish His Kingdom on earth. The 12 tribes of Israel will be re-established at that time. Zachariah Chapter 14 describes the return of Christ to the earth. It says that Christ's feet will land on the Mount of Olives and He will be King of the Earth! "And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one." Read the whole chapter of Zechariah to see the exciting return of Christ.
The Bible teaches that no man has ascended to heaven. Can't believe it? It's there.
"And no man hath ascended up to Heaven, but He that came down from Heaven, even the Son of Man who is in Heaven." John 3:13
Going to heaven is a pagan concept, same as the river Styx, or fertility symbols such as bunny rabbits and eggs at Easter (Ishtar, wife of sun god Baal) and no human being has ever gone to heaven, for one reason, because the Bible teaches that no man has ever seen God's face. Christ is the only one who has seen Him. It is Christ who declared Him to men and revealed the existence of God,the Father.John 1:18 says, "No man hath seen God at any time."
"No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him." What does this tell us? The God that men saw and spoke to in the Old Testament was not God the Father, it was Jesus Christ.
CHRIST AND MOSES KNEW ONE ANOTHER
Read about Moses and Christ in your own Bible. Hebrews 11:24-26 says: Moses esteemed the reproach of Christ as greater riches than the treasures in Egypt. Look it up for yourself, if you can't believe your own eyes. Ask yourself HOW Moses could ever "esteem the reproach of Christ" SINCE MOSES WAS BORN THOUSANDS OF YEARS BEFORE CHRIST??? He could do it because Jesus Christ was the one he dealt face to face with. Jesus Christ is the one who handed Moses the tablets that contained the Ten Commandments. They were His laws!
CHRIST IS THE ONE WHO DEALT WITH ANCIENT ISRAEL
"Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; And did all eat the same spiritual meat; And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.”
There is no doubt that JESUS CHRIST WAS CREATOR AND GOD OF THE OLD TESTAMENT, or else how could he have followed ancient Israel in the wilderness as your own Bible teaches! I know this goes against tradition---but tradition and truth are not synonymous. Again, look it up in 1 Corinthians 10:1-4 for yourself, if you must. Those that don't like the truth, may be put in a position of having to tear these pages out of their Bibles...
CHRIST AND ABRAHAM KNEW ONE ANOTHER
In a confrontation with the Jews, Christ told them that He had known Abraham personally and that Abraham had seen His day and rejoiced! John 8:56-59
"Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
Note that they picked up stones to stone Him when He made the statement “Before Abraham was, I am.” Don’t forget that all punctuation in the Bible was added by the translators, so remove one comma, and we see He REALLY said, “Before Abraham was I AM,” He claims the name of the God of the Old Testament. Jesus Christ tells them plainly that He is the “I AM,” and to their hardened and blind hearts, this was blasphemy, SO THIS IS WHY THEY TRIED TO STONE HIM.
In one other case, the Jews again showed a violent physical reaction to Christ saying “I AM.”
John 18:4-6
4 Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye?
5 They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus said to them, I AM (he.)...(“he” was added by the translators.)
6 As soon then as he had said unto them I AM , they went backward, and fell to the ground.
Normally in the worship of God, one would fall forward with the face down as a sign of submission...
The elders mentioned in Revelation 11:16, which sat before God, fell forward upon their faces, and worshipped God." Why did the men of Christ’s own generation fall backwards and reject Him and refuse to acknowledge Him as God? For a great purpose! Had they recognized Him as the Creator, they wouldn't have killed Him. It was never God's purpose for them to truly recognize who He was. His death was a necessary part of the plan of salvation. Because, only after they killed Him, salvation became possible---all because Jesus Christ was the very creator and therefore, His death was worth more than enough to pay for all the sins of the world He had created! John 1:10 says:
"He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not." They did not understand that they killed the Creator.
