What is the fate of the wicked?

Ever burning hell or perdition? (utter destruction)

What does the Bible teach?

Perdition Destruction.

Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, that ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of PERDITION. ( 2 Thessalonians 1:1Luke 2:1-3 )

Perdition is utter and complete destruction and loss, and correlates with eternal death.  This happens at the end of the Millenium to the wicked when they are thrown into the Lake of Fire, which is when the earth burns up with fervent heat spoken of by Peter.  This final death is outer darkness, complete loss of existence.

2 Peter 3:6-8

"Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition (utter destruction) of ungodly men.

Notice it is a "day of judgment", not ever burning.

The reason God made men physical is that if they turned out to be evil, they could be disposed of.  God does not need evil God beings to deal with, that would be horrendous, and if you think Satan lives forever...he doesn't.  He is a spirit, but he is not a member of the God family.  No where in the bible does it say that Satan is immortal.

Only God has immortality.

1 Timothy 6:15 "Which in his times he shall show, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto."

There are 2 judgments, one is going on now, "Judgment is now on the House of God," and the coming Great White Throne Judgment mentioned in Revelation where the rest of the dead are all resurrected.  The will happen at the end of the 1000 year millennial reign of Christ, He is the King of kings and Lord of Lords.

Who are the Kings and Lords that rule with Christ during the millennium?

“For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God, and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of Christ” 1 Peter 4:17

THIS JUDGMENT IS GOING ON NOW, AND IS TO DETERMINE IF WE WILL QUALIFY TO POSSESS THE KINGDOM AND TO RULE WITH CHRIST.  Daniel 7:8 says,

"But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever."

You can say, but that is Old Testament, but the New Testament says the same.

Matthew 19:28 Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, in the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on His glorious throne, you who have followed Me (12 disciples will rule 12 tribes of Israel) will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel."

He said in my Fathers House are many mansions, these are offices, places of abode in the government of God for those that obey God and have received His Holy Spirit through obedience to God, and are called by God, and chosen to be part of His rule and made into spirit beings, who rule over the earth with Christ when He returns.

You cannot choose this, God chooses who He wants, and if He is interested in you, He will open your mind to understand the Bible, and truth, through His Holy Spirit.  Why is this called a better resurrection?  Because it is to rulership, as well as eternal life. Because a Kingdom is on the way.  A restored Israel is on the way.  We know this because 12 tribes of Israel will be ruled by 12 disciples of Christ.  There are many other offices available. Some will be given 1 city to rule, some will be given 10 cities, etc.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 KJV

The Kingdom of God is coming to this earth.  This is the gospel that Christ brought,  the good news of that coming Kingdom.  It will be a physical kingdom that lasts a 1000 years and will be ruled by Christ and the saints.

At the end of the Great White Throne Judgment, we see that Revelation 20 describes all the rest of the dead being given their chance to learn from the Biblios (Bible) and have their names written in the book of life too), at the end of that Judgment, the ones who remain wicked will burn up when the earth burns up with fervent heat.  The elements will melt with fervent heat, this is the perdition (utter destruction) of ungodly men, mentioned in 2nd Peter 3:6.  This is the day that the righteous will walk on the ashes of the wicked.  The meek will inherit the new earth, there won't be any evil people left.

Malachi 4:3

"And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts."
