There is an interesting dialog going on in this country about Progressive politics. But have you ever thought about progressive Christianity? The founders of true religion are God the Father and Jesus Christ. Together, they create a well thought out system of religion. In time, though, progressives called "Gnostics" come along and decide to change God's day of worship from Saturday to Sunday!

SABBATH COVENANT WITH GOD...

HALLOW MY SABBATHS   "I am the LORD your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; And hallow my Sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God.

God rested on the 7th day to mark His day of rest. He later said, "Hallow my Sabbaths and they will be a sign between me and you that you may know that I am the Lord your God." If you keep the Sabbath, you know you have the God who was actually there at creation. Look in your Bible, no prophet of God is ever instructed to keep Sunday, nor is anyone in the New Testament! Look in your own Bible. Jesus Christ and the Apostles keep the Saturday Sabbath. Paul and Peter, keep the Saturday Sabbath, as their custom was. God did not change, but the religious progressives did try to change things...

JUST ONE LITTLE COMMAND~

God inspired the Bible, could He not have put in just one little line that says "all Christians will keep Sunday from now on? He never did that. What about the argument that Christ was resurrected on a Sunday and that was God's clue that the day was changed. Then why did the women who went down to apply spices to the body of Christ, wait until after the Sabbath to go do that? IF THE SABBATH WAS DONE AWAY, WHY DID THEY WAIT? The reason is that they were commandment keepers, as was all the New Testament church. They were true Christians and they refused to break God's law.

Luke 23:55,56 says, "And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulcher, and how his body was laid. And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the Sabbath day according to the commandment.

After the Sabbath, they went down to the tomb to apply the spices, but He was already resurrected when they got there." That speaks volumes against the resurrection argument. If we are to be true followers of Christ, then the big question is...DID JESUS KEEP THE SATURDAY SABBATH?

"And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all. And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. Luke 4:14-16 KJV Have you ever wondered why Jesus Christ came as a Jew instead of an American? Have you ever wondered why He kept the Saturday Sabbath His whole life long? Because, He was the creator and the Lord of the Sabbath day. Read the scriptures confirming that. You have probably never noticed them in your Bible, but they are all there.

CHRIST WAS THE CREATOR AND THE WORLD WAS MADE BY HIM!

John 1:10 states of Christ that “He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.” And he says, in verse 14, “the Word (logos or spokesman) was made flesh, and dwelt among us...” There can be no dispute. Jesus Christ was the creator and spokesman for the God family.

EARLY CHURCH KEEPS SATURDAY!

History shows that Sunday was never kept by New Testament Christians, nor was it ever kept until around 400 years after Christ died! This is where the progressives changed the Sabbath observance commanded by God to Sunday. We can't say that the resurrection was the real reason for changing Saturday to Sunday. Remember, the resurrection had happened 400 years earlier! Why not start then, instead of waiting for hundreds of years? At Christ's burial, His disciples were law keepers. The women who went to the tomb to apply spices to his body waited until after the Sabbath to go. They loved Him dearly, but they were not progressive in their religion. They followed God's law, as written.

So, what was the real reason for changing the day of worship from Saturday to Sunday? What is the saying..."follow the money." Let's do that. 400 years after Christ died, most of the world worshipped the sun. To bring vast amounts of pagan money into the church coffers, the now apostate church had the progressive idea to adopt the pagan day of worship, Sunday. Yep, Sunday was the day of worship of the sun worshippers. That is no stretch. So after 400 years amd all this was changed for money's sake, we see why the vast world of religion is keeping Sunday now. Did God go along to get along? Did He ditch the Sabbath and the 10 commandments? Obviously not, because in the book of Revelation, the followers of God are still called commandment keepers, and don't forget the 4th commandment is to keep the Sabbath holy! The true followers of God in the end time stand loyal to God's original system. They observe the 7th day of the week, outlined in the 4th commandment. They do not worship on the "day of the sun."

"...Revelation describes the people of God in the end time, as those who “keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” The fact that God’s people are commandment keepers...is repeated three times in the book of Revelation." (Revelation 12:17, Revelation 14:12 and Revelation 22:14)

This is going to come as a shock to some, but God is neither a Baptist or a Catholic! God's system is based on "The Covenant." Do you have any idea what the covenant is?   The Old Covenant was a system where one kept God's laws, including but not limited to the Sabbath, the Holy Days, the food laws, etc... We defer to His system of laws and His governance and He blesses us with many physical blessings. The Jews are much hated over the world because they are blessed with wealth, intellect, etc... They, as a whole, recognize the true God and keep the Old Covenant with Him, and they are blessed for it....and they are hated for it.

They are considered to be educated and well off. Have you ever thought about what civilization would be without the contributions of the Jews? Baal worship (sun worship) was in competition with God's system. It was the day that most of the world worshipped on for thousands of years. God chose Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all their descendants and chose to reveal Himself to them. He set up His own system of religion and tried to teach it to the descendants of Abraham. How many were there? God called Abraham a father of many nations. He told him that his descendants would be as the stars of heaven and the sand of the sea. I challenge you to count those things. The number of Abrahams descendants is very very great. Many of the nations today are Abrahams descendants and are completely unaware of it. Why? Because they lost their identifying sign that connected them to the true God. The 7th day Sabbath.

Ezekiel 20:19-44

HALLOW MY SABBATHS   "I am the LORD your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God.

Ezekiel prophesies, that because they will NOT hallow His Sabbaths, but pollute them by worshipping on another day not instituted by God, these Israelites stand in rebellion against God's system. Yes, they are Israelites, but they don't know it because they are lost. They are now called the "The Ten Lost Tribes." Jacob had 12 sons. In later history, 2 tribes continued to keep the Sabbath. They were called the House of Judah. 10 tribes began to worship Baal and they were taken into captivity in 722 bc. They are now lost to the world. But God says that He will sift them through the nations and not one grain will be lost. He knows who they are...they don't. Continue to read in Ezekiel about how they polluted the Sabbath and what happened to them!

THE 10 TRIBES POLLUTE GODS SABBATHS    "Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness."

THE 10 TRIBES ARE DISPERSED THROUGH THE COUNTRIES (they lose knowledge of their identity.) Nevertheless I withdrew mine hand, and wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted in the sight of the heathen, in whose sight I brought them forth. I lifted up mine hand unto them also in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countries; Because they had not executed my judgments, but had despised my statutes, and had polluted my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers' idols.

THE 10 TRIBES PRACTICE SUNWORSHIP, WHICH INVOLVED HUMAN SACRIFICE OF FIRSTBORN CHILDREN    Wherefore I gave them also statutes that were not good, and judgments whereby they should not live; And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that openeth the womb, (their firstborn children) that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am the LORD. Therefore, son of man, speak unto the house of Israel, and say unto them, Thus says the Lord GOD; Yet in this your fathers have blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me.

For when I had brought them into the land, for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to them, then they saw every high hill, and all the thick trees, (KJV "leafy" denoting leafy all year, or "evergreen") and they offered there their (human) sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering: there also they made their sweet savour, and poured out there their drink offerings. Then I said unto them, What is the high place whereunto ye go? (False religion chose high hills to build their places of worship and later used vaulted ceilings, i.e. high places)

And the name thereof is called Bamah unto this day. Wherefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord GOD; Are ye polluted after the manner of your fathers? and commit ye whoredom after their abominations? For when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons to pass through the fire, ye pollute yourselves with all your idols, even unto this day: and shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, says the Lord GOD, I will not be inquired of by you. "WE WILL BE AS THE HEATHEN"   And that which cometh into your mind shall not be at all, that ye say, We will be as the heathen, as the families of the countries, to serve wood and stone. (Worshipped carved religious symbols made of wood and stone, as many churches do today...it was forbidden by the 2nd commandment and was not ok with God.)

GOD WILL BRING THEM OUT FROM THE COUNTRIES WHERE THEY HAVE BEEN SCATTERED    As I live, says the Lord GOD, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you: And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out. And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face. Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, says the Lord GOD.

And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant: (God will bring them back into observance of the Saturday Sabbath and all of his statutes and judgments.) And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: (they will be allowed to die) I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the LORD. As for you, O house of Israel, thus says the Lord GOD; Go ye, serve ye every one his idols, and hereafter also, if ye will not hearken unto me: but pollute ye my holy name no more with your gifts, and with your idols.

ISRAEL WILL SERVE GOD AGAIN!    For in mine holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, says the Lord GOD, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, serve me: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the firstfruits of your oblations, with all your holy things. I will accept you with your sweet savor, when I bring you out from the people, and gather you out of the countries wherein ye have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you before the heathen. And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to your fathers. And there shall ye remember your ways, and all your doings, wherein ye have been defiled; and ye shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that ye have committed. And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have wrought with you for my name's sake, not according to your wicked ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, O ye house of Israel, says the Lord GOD. KJV
