Is there other EXCITING corroborating forensic evidence that proves that Baal was worshipped by both lost Israel and the Celts? Yes, historians know that Baal, was extensively worshipped by the Celts in Britain, Ireland and all of Europe!
The Irish, and all of Europe have for centuries wondered why large mysterious monoliths and megaliths dotted their hillsides. Forty thousand of them, to be exact. Historians are baffled as to their purpose. Yet, if we examine the ancient upright stones found in Israel, and compare them to those found all over Europe, we find they are identical! Co-incidence??? I think not. The lost Israelites carried this custom with them when they migrated into Europe.

These Baal worshipping Israelites carried their upright stones with them from Israel to Europe. Those that oppose the Celts being Israelites say that "Israel worshipped God" and "the Celts worshipped Baal," when in fact, they both worshipped Baal. The pictures don’t lie. And we’ve already read the biblical proof of Baal worship by the Ten Tribes, so, let’s get down to business and examine the historical proof that the Celts also worshipped Baal...the same false sun-god that Israel was cast out for!
In an article called Boaldyn by J.M. Jeffcot, he tells us that “the sun was anciently worshipped by the Celts, under the name Baal.” As already pointed out, the word Baal or Baalim is used 80 times in the Bible to describe the sun god that Israel constantly lusted after. They abandoned the true God for this pagan sun god...and they still follow the worship of Baal to this day, which involved evergreen trees and worship of stone images. (Look in any Catholic church!)Where in the Bible does it ever say to bring an evergreen tree into your house around the time of the winter solstice??? Nowhere, my friends. It was part of Baal worship...and the Lost Tribes of Israel retain it faithfully to this day. Some will ignorantly claim that sun worshippers most likely didn’t worship on Sunday at all, but the Bible clearly teaches that Baal worshippers forsook the commands of the Lord, and the fourth COMMAND was to observe the Saturday Sabbath. If they abandoned the command to keep the Sabbath, then “SUN-day” was obviously the day of the week that the sun worshippers observed, else why would it be called Sun-day!
THEY LOST THE IDENTIFYING SIGNThis very point of the rejection of the Sabbath and the adoption of Sunday explains why the ten tribes lost their identity in the first place and the Jews did not. The Saturday Sabbath was the identifying sign of the Israelite and his relationship with the true God. Ezekiel 20:12 says, “Moreover also I gave them my Sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctifies them.”
The Jews recognize the Sabbath and they know who they are. They know that they are Israelites...but the ten tribes abandoned the Sabbath and lost their identifying sign and their identity! Even though these wayward Israelites abandoned the Sabbath for Sunday, and sun worship, they did retain one thing, they still continued to observe some of their pagan holidays from sundown to sundown which came from the Israelitish teaching that says...“from even unto even shall you celebrate your Sabbath.”
Christmas "EVE" is based on this concept. Hallow-een is based on this concept. “Holy Saturday” service, observed by all Catholics is held the eve before Easter! These all demonstrate the concept of starting a Holiday on the evening before and are a carryover from their Israelitish heritage.
This is a major clue since historically the Celts were known to keep their days from sundown to sundown. (As every Israelite was commanded to do!) Even if they wanted to, these wayward Israelites could not fully abandon every link to their former true religion, could they? The article called Beltane: Celebration of May Day, says, “the Celts always figured their days from sundown to sundown.” Read from Man, Myth and Magic, Vol. 1, p. 67 “The Celtic day started at sunset, and ran to the following sunset,” even the Celtic term “holiday” is derived from the Israelitish term Holy-Day! Only the nation of Israel had been commanded by God to keep their days from sundown to sundown. How did the Celts come to adopt this??? It was no accident. It was tradition.
Baal worshipping Israelites and Baal worshipping Celts both used the exact same religious symbols. Examine the stone below. It has a cross with a circle around it. This was found on an alter to Baal in Hatzor, northern Israel, then compare it to the Celtic SUN CROSS right next to it! The Celtic religious symbol was a cross with a circle around it. The cross represents the intersection of the solstices and equinoxes and the circle represents sun worship.
Were there other connections between these lost Israelites and the Celts? Yes. If Israel was divided into “tribes,” so were the Celts. An archaeological article about the Celts called Iron Warlords says, “The Celtic tribes...did have control of Europe for many hundreds of years. The Celts usually split up into tribes.”
The Encyclopedia Britannica states that Celtic language was derived from the Hebrew language! (11th edition, vol. 5) Hebrew and early Celtic language were almost identical. So much so that the article called “CELT” in the encyclopedia says,
"For many centuries the affinities of the Celtic languages were the subject of great dispute. The languages were in turn regarded as descended from Hebrew, Teutonic and Scythian."
If Celtic language was “regarded as descended from Hebrew,” CAN YOU SEE WHAT THAT MEANS??? The Celts are the peoples who inhabited all of Europe, England and by transplantation, America! This means that much of Europe and America are Israelites.
LANGUAGE CONNECTIONS
1. Even the early form of the English language called
“Welsh” was almost identical to Hebrew. Eliezer Williams
(b.1754) an expert on the Celts made the following comments,
"The roots of most of the ancient British, or real
Welsh...may be regularly traced in the Hebrew...” Yair Davidy quotes that “In 1675 Charles Edwards published A
number of Welsh Hebraisms in which he shows that whole phrases in Welsh
can be closely paralleled by whole phrases in Hebrew.” The words are
spelled slightly differently, but the sounds of the words are almost
identical! Co-incidence??? I think not.
2. In fact, the dictionary called “The Word” has
over 20,000 English words that are derived from the Hebrew. The
following are examples I’ve run across myself. An easy sample is the
Hebrew word for man. It is 'iysh, pronounced “ish.” The English
language uses this suffix all the time! Span-ish, Irish, English,
Swedish, Danish, Polish, Scottish, Finnish and even Yiddish. Even
the French, Welch and Dutch all have the ish sound at the end.
Since all of these nations have the Hebrew "ish" at the end, these
nations may well be the European descendants of the tribes of
Israel.
3. There are other English words that actually sound
nothing like Hebrew but have the exact same meaning. In Hebrew, the
word qar is usually translated to mean “excellent.” “Qar” in Hebrew
literally means “cool.” How many times have we seen something we liked
and said, “That’s cool.” Another example is the word fool which in
Hebrew literally means “fat.” The English word “fatuous” means stupid
or foolish. A fathead, in Hebrew or English is a fool or stupid person.
4. Certain people have linguistic idiosyncrasies. The British do
not pronounce the H. In the book of Judges, 42,000 of the tribe of
Ephraim died at the passages of Jordan. Why? Because their enemies made
them take a test before they would let them pass. They had to say a
word that contained an H. When man by man, they couldn’t pronounce the
H properly, they were identified as Ephraimites and killed on the spot!
Judges 12:5 and 6 tell the story. It is well known all over the world
that the British people are the only ones who do this. The British
people are believed to be of the tribe of Ephraim, whose mascot
incredibly enough, was also the bull. W. H. Bennett says in "Our
Celto-Saxon Heritage" that Ephraim's tribal banner was a
bull. This bull calf goes all the way back to the Baal
(bull) calf of Jeroboam the Ephraimite. In fact, the Hebrew word for
calf is “Aegel.”
Aegel-ish means "calf man" and it eventually evolved into the familiar word Engl-ish...calf man.
There are those who find the existence of the modern day House of Israel “hard to accept” because they say there is no substantiation for it, when in truth, there is a tremendous amount of physical corroboration. In fact, there is far more evidence for the identity of Israel than there is for the virgin birth or the resurrection!
The truth is that people don’t want to give up the religion they grew up with. Mankind rejected God early on. The choosing of Satan and his kind of worship has been around since the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve made a key decision to reject God. From that day until now, most of their children have been under the sway and rulership of Satan. How else could Satan have offered Christ all the kingdoms of this world if He would bow down and worship him? The nations belonged to Satan, they were his to give. Adam and Eve, Israel and the whole world slid away to sun worship which is in reality Satan worship. When will this be changed? At the restoration that Jesus Christ spoke of.
When you see the full 12 tribes of Israel restored to their full identity, know that the return of Christ is not far off. Christ told his disciples that Elijah would truly come and restore all things (back to God's right way) At the coming "renewal" of all things, Jesus Christ will finally replace Satan as the ruler of this earth. Something to watch for that will tell you that the end is near is the fact that Christ was preceded the first time by a priest of Aaron's lineage, such as John the Baptist, who was a type of Elijah. When Christ comes back the second time, he will again be preceded by a priest of Aaron's lineage. Christ said that Elijah would come and restore all things. We know Elijah was priestly because at the confrontation he had with the prophets of Baal, he rebuilt the alter of God and offered the evening sacrifice which was illegal for a non-priest to do.
To restore this world to proper religion, Satan (i.e. Baal) worship must be removed entirely. And interestingly, this was the mission of the original Elijah, to break Israel from Baal worship and to re-establish the law, the statutes and the judgments of God. A future “Elijah” will someday restore the lost Israelites to their Hebrew roots. None of us know who this man will be. But, we do know this, this coming Elijah will have the job of bringing lost Israel back to God and he will remind them of the fact that they must repent and keep God’s law if they want to reconnect up with the true God again.
The book of Malachi speaks of this Elijah when it says, “Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.” Malachi 4:4-6
ELIJAH WILL
REMIND ISRAEL OF THEIR LOST IDENTITY! THEY WILL BE RECONNECTED TO THEIR PAST, WITH
THEIR FATHERS…RECONNECTED WITH THEIR TRUE ISRAELITE HERITAGE.
Who are the “fathers” spoken of here in Malachi???
The
fathers of Israel are ABRAHAM, ISAAC AND JACOB! God will
send Elijah before the “great and dreadful day of the Lord,” He will
call for lost Israel to remember the law of Moses and their Israelitish
heritage and to repent of Baal worship. As Israelites, they will be
admonished to keep all God’s laws, statutes and judgments. God promised Abraham that he would be a
FATHER of many nations!
Genesis 17:2-5
2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply
thee exceedingly.
3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,
4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a
father of many nations.
5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall
be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
Does this mean that if you are a non-Israelite that you will be left out of God’s plan? No! Not at all. God is not a racist, anyone can connect himself or herself to the true creator God and become an "adopted" Israelite by submitting to the true God and His laws. Proof in point, Caleb was one of the two spies sent by Moses to spy out the land of Palestine. He was one of the only two men in all of Israel at that time who courageously trusted God. The Bible calls him a Kenizzite, he was from one of the clans of “Edom” (Genesis 36:11) The International Standard Bible Encyclopedia says that Caleb was an Edomite but he adopted Israel’s religion. He was so faithful that he actually became a prince or leader of Judah. Those who name their sons Caleb might be shocked to know that his name means "raging with canine madness." It fit Caleb. He had extreme courage. He was one of only two men of the generation that left Egypt, that was allowed to go into the promised land.
God certainly is not racist, there are several non-Israelites who are in the genealogy of Jesus Christ, including Rahab the prostitute! The point here is that a foreigner in ancient Israel could become a full fledged Israelite by adopting Israel’s religion and Israel’s God. They were required to keep all His statutes and commandments. Would God require any less of a native born Israelite??? The promised land is a type of the coming Kingdom of God...Joshua possibly represents the Israelites who will go in and Caleb represents the non-Israelites who will go in.
Of the generation that came out of Egypt, which means “darkness,” only Joshua and Caleb totally believed God and obeyed Him with their whole hearts. They represent those who believe God and keep his commandments, coming out of the spiritual darkness of FALSE RELIGION. If lost Israelites or non Israelites want to return to God, and they have been keeping Sunday, they must now repent of that and start keeping the Saturday Sabbath, which is the identifying sign of the true God. Without this new Covenant you cannot go into the spiritual promised land. Our ancestors broke the original Covenant when they did away with the law. If you want to be connected to the true God, and his promises, you must keep the law. "Here, then, said the LORD, Is the Covenant I will make… you on your part must keep the commandments I am giving you today.”Because all of Israel had gone away from God, and broken His Covenant, the book of Jeremiah says, “The time is coming... when I will make a New Covenant with the HOUSE OF ISRAEL AND THE HOUSE OF JUDAH..." They are not his people now. Ever since Jeroboam the Ephraimite caused the 10 tribes to abandon God, wayward Israelites have had no Covenant with God. Therefore, God will have to make this new Covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah.
"The days are surely coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah. It will not be like the covenant that I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt--a covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, says the LORD. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. No longer shall they teach one another, or say to each other, "Know the LORD," for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, says the LORD; for I will forgive their iniquity, and remember their sin no more. Jeremiah 31:31 You must repent of sin to come under the covenant with God.
The Hebrew word “berit(h)’ayin,” or Britain means “without a Covenant.” Some scholars say, aha! Britain cannot be part of lost Israel because “Britain” in Hebrew literally means “without a Covenant.” But they forget that the Covenant was broken the day that Jeroboam the Ephraimite led Israel away from God to Baal.The fact that these Israelites keep Sunday, and the pagan holidays and break the food laws actually proves that they are LOST Israel, without a Covenant, without the true God.
Jesus Christ is faithful and He will fulfill his promises to his disciples. The disciples will still each one rule a tribe of Israel at Christ’s return because God will soon make a new Covenant with these lost Israelites and hopefully soon......they will fit the meaning of the word “B’RITH-ISH” which is Hebrew for “Covenant man!”
As Elijah said, “How long halt ye between two opinions? “If the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him.”
